What is Reiki?

Reiki healing is a gentle, non-invasive energy therapy that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance and well-being.

Originating in Japan in the early 20th century and developed by Mikao Usui, Reiki is based on the principle of channelling energy through the practitioner to the recipient. Reiki comes from two Japanese words: “Rei” - meaning universal and “Ki” meaning life force energy. This energy works holistically across multiple levels - physical, emotional, mental, and energetic - helping to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and encourage overall harmony.

Reiki is suitable for people of all ages and conditions and can be used in conjunction with conventional medical treatments. As a non-manipulative and intention-based practice, Reiki can do no harm and is always guided by the body’s innate wisdom, allowing it to flow where it is most needed.
